Hand on Earth - How to Produce Piri-Piri

The Farmer's School Mission

It is a social responsibility project that aims to help develop the country.

Aiming for the sustainable development of Mozambique, it contributes to the economic sustainability of subsistence agriculture, making small and medium-sized producers more qualified and keeping large producers updated.

In Mozambique, agriculture consists of subsistence farms with less than 5 ha; representing 99% of agricultural units and occupying more than 95% of the country's cultivated area. It employs 90% of the country's female workforce and 70% of the male workforce. This means that 80% of the country's labor force is employed in the agricultural sector. Due to its weak infrastructure, low levels of production, use of traditional methods, low-yielding seeds and lack of inputs, technical assistance, and access to markets, the sector, which is of strategic importance, needs transformation, modernization, social inclusion, competitiveness and development.

With an understanding of the real situation and the effective means they believe will contribute to this transformation, Aqi and Panavídeo MZ joined together to create and implement a Training Program accessible to all Mozambicans, throughout the national territory, consisting of Training Events and a multimedia platform with TV, Radio, Digital Program and Magazines that offer content for the transmission of knowledge and the means for access to inputs and to enter the market.
